Thank you for this post. I’m an alumnus of Northern (DMin in Contextual Theology 2021) who continues to support Northern and the staff in their righting the ship and remaining devoted to Christ and participation in the divine mission.
Thank you for your description of Northern Seminary. I am intrigued by the DMin program in theology. For me a Doctor of Ministry is a professional degree, usually focused on some aspect of congregational life. A theology degree is a Master's or PhD.
Can you say more, please? At my age I am unlikely to want another degree, but learning til the day I die is a life ambition. Thanks in advance.
The DMin in theology is for people who want to combine their love of theology with a professional interest. Projects for the degree might combine a doctrine and a ministry context or question. Soteriology for prison ministry? Always happy to talk more for any interested party!
Thank you for this post. It’s encouraging
